The third meeting of the Ellery Panthers 4-H Club was called to order by Avery Roosevelt at 6 p.m. at Little Prairie Christian Church on Nov. 20.

Vice President Avery Roosevelt presided over the meeting. The club began the meeting by writing letters to their Chicago Pen Pals. Kolby Terry and Kaden Duncan lead the club in the pledges. The roll call question for this month was: “What is your favorite food to eat at Thanksgiving?” The secretary’s report was given by Abby Shelton. The minutes were approved as read. The treasurer’s report was also given; the Ellery Panthers 4-H club has a balance of $858.79.

On Nov. 23 Paint a shirt workshop will be held for tag-a-longs.  The make and take workshop will be held on Dec. 19, Movie Day will be held Dec. 20. The Scrumptious Science workshop will be held on Tuesdays in January. The Poultry and Rabbit workshop will be held on Jan. 4.

Every member showing livestock must complete the “Youth Care of Animals Certification,” see newsletter if you have questions.

The Ellery Panthers 4-H club had many members attend the Dexter Workshop, they are: Maleigh Terry, Kolby Terry, Avery Holmes, Paisley Holmes, and Drew Roosevelt.

Avery Roosevelt gave a demonstration on how to give a proper speech.Hallie Shelton talked about popular cattle breeds and the breeds she owns. Emily Spray talked about What Thanksgiving Means to You. Chase Shelton told farmer jokes.Kathy St. Ledger talked to the club about Barred Owl Nesting Boxes, flyers were provided for those who are interested.

With nothing less to discuss the meeting was adjourned by Emily Spray and Addison Anderson. Kathy blessed the food that was provided by the Wiseman’s. The next meeting will be on Dec. 11. It will be a family pot luck and the club will provide pizzas. The meeting is to start around 6 p.m.
