Two Grayville residents were taken into custody on drug and weapon charges after being pulled over by Grayville Police last week.

On Sept. 29, Danny D. Christopher, 57, and Amy D. Miller, 46, were the subject of a traffic stop at the intersection of East Vine and North Court Streets at roughly 2:45 a.m., with Christopher operating the vehicle. The officer called in Zorro, the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit to perform a free air sniff around the halted vehicle.

Zorro alerted the law enforcement agents to the vehicle, and a search was conducted.

During the search, a pin pipe that appeared to have been used to consume methamphetamine was discovered. A set of brass knuckles were also found in a purse owned by Miller.

Both Christopher and Miller were placed under arrest for separate charges. Christopher was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Miller was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

Each of them were transported to the White County Jail.
