Edwards County Community Unit School District #1 will be receiving the largest bulk of Edwards County’s property taxes when funds are released to taxing bodies in November.
The school district will be given $2,804,569.78, after levying for $3,037,742 in the Fiscal Year 2020 Tax Levy, resulting in the school receiving $233,172.22 less than anticipated. The county itself will see the next largest chunk of public money, bringing in just $22,766.40 less than the levied $1,584,440 with an extension of $1,561,673.60.
The White County School District, which levied for $1,296,424 in Edwards County will receive $388,511.76. The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges, listed under Number 529 College, will get $364,492.96 after levying for $7,079,425.
The City of Albion will receive the largest portion of tax monies amongst municipalities at $297,873.68, after levying for $309,948. The Village of West Salem will bring in $123,750.98 after levying for $127,500 in property taxes, and will also $72,323 in TIF monies and $6,932 for its sanitary district.
