Grayville Woman Injured Escaping Burning Home

Trapped by fast moving flames, a Grayville woman had to break out a window to escape her burning home last Friday morning. Deanna Wright, 41 was home alone when a fire broke out around 9:15 in the kitchen at 310 West Martin Street in Grayville.

Grayville Fire Chief Travis Thompson said the front door of the house was closed off, leaving Wright only one exit which was blocked by flames.  Wright broke out a window to exit the burning house, suffering minor injuries during her escape.
