Edwards County Lions basketball took on Fairfield Friday night for the first home game of the season.

This was also the first game that allowed the teams’ 50 people to attend. The excitement was evident on everyone’s face as they took their seats in the gym.

The Lions started the first quarter off good, keeping the game close. The Lions just couldn’t keep up with the Mules and they wound up losing the game with a final score of 92–50.

Senior Kade St. Ledger led in scoring for the Lions with 21 points and added five rebounds to his game. Junior Alex Calverley contributed 10 points and four rebounds. Senior Ty Schmittler battled hard all night down low and finished the game with nine rebounds and four points.
